Beta terms

Musy is in public beta. This page documents what we commit to during the beta, so you can decide whether to invest your curation work in us.

Free access

Musy is free for every beta curator until at least Q4 2026. Every feature is unlocked — unlimited collections, unlimited sources, full export. No credit card, no trial clock.

When we introduce paid tiers, we will announce them at least 60 days in advance.

No surprise downgrades

Curators who sign up during the v0.x beta keep their current feature set, even if those features later move to a paid tier. This is what we call grandfathering — your account inherits the rules that were in place when you joined.

Grandfathering applies to the feature set you had access to during the beta, not to every future feature we build. New post-1.0 features may be on paid tiers from day one.

Your data

• Export, any time. You can export your full library as a JSON manifest plus a folder of your uploaded files. No export fee, no ticket to raise. It lives in your account settings.
• Permanent archive of v0.x collections. Collections you published during the beta will remain readable at their original URL for at least five years after we exit beta, even if you stop using Musy.
• Nothing is re-hosted without your consent. A YouTube video stays on YouTube, a PDF in Drive stays in Drive. Musy stores metadata, notes, and last-seen snapshots — not copies of third-party content.

Advertising, business accounts, and tracking

Musy does not currently deliver ads to curators and does not use third-party advertising pixels, cross-site retargeting, or behavioural profiles. We do not sell or rent personal data.

An organization may explicitly connect its own CRM, analytics, infrastructure, or advertising accounts to the Business workspace. Those connections act only for that organization, within the scope it authorizes, and remain under the external provider's terms. A campaign record in Musy does not authorize Musy to target curators or spend the organization's advertising budget.

If Musy later introduces sponsored placements inside the consumer experience, they will be clearly labelled and governed by a separate product decision, updated privacy information, and any consent required before activation. We will not turn an organization's account connection into permission for cross-site profiling.

Breakage, outages, and honest failure modes

This is a beta. We will ship bugs. When we do, we will:

• Fix them as fast as we reasonably can.
• Notify affected curators when a bug could have caused data loss.
• Publish post-mortems for incidents that affected more than a handful of accounts.

We do not offer a contractual SLA during the beta — Musy is provided as-is. If uptime or support guarantees are a hard requirement for your work, please wait for the 1.0 tier.

If we shut down

Musy is operated by MUSY TECHNOLOGIES, a French company based in Matra. If for any reason we cease operations:

• We will give at least 90 days' notice before taking the service offline.
• During those 90 days, exports will remain available.
• Where feasible, we will open-source the read-side of the platform so published collections can continue to be hosted by the community.

Changes to these beta terms

If we materially change these terms, we will notify beta curators by email and display an in-app banner for at least 14 days before the change takes effect. We will not retroactively revoke grandfathering.
